D'Cruz v. McCraw (TX)

D'Cruz v. McCraw is a Federal Second Amendment challenge to a Texas law that prevents a certain class of law-abiding citizens from exercising the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

James D'Cruz is 18 years old and resides in Lubbock, Texas.  Texas Concealed Handgun Licenses (CHL) are available to any law-abiding adult 21 years of age or older or any 18 to 20 year-old serving in the armed forces or who has been honorably discharged from the armed forces.  Any 18-20 year old not serving in or honorably discharged from the armed forces is banned from exercising the right to harry a handgun.

James D'Cruz has also filed suit against the BATFE challenging the prohibition on dealer sales of handguns to individuals 18-20 years of age.  See:  D'Cruz v. BATFE
